At this moment, in the Alibaba International Operations Center in Hangzhou, the global strategy button for Pheilix New Energy is officially activated – the “hidden champion” in the field of charging piles in China is using a digital trading platform to bring OCPP smart charging piles to the global market.
Global layout: breaking the “protocol silos” of charging piles
As one of the first companies in China to pass the OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) certification, Pheilix has successfully broken the long-standing problem of “protocol silos” in the European and American markets with its highly compatible charging pile products. The company’s latest Residential/Commercial series not only supports connection with any third-party back-end system, but its modular design also allows for quick replacement in just 15 minutes, completely changing the traditional pain point of high maintenance costs for charging piles. On the first day of entering Alibaba International, the number of inquiries from countries such as the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia exceeded 200, and 30% of customers clearly valued its core advantage of “one-plug-fits-all”.
Smart ecology: redefining charging scenarios
Pheilix’s ambition goes beyond exporting hardware. By integrating its self-developed energy management SaaS system, its charging pile can analyze data such as power grid load and user habits in real time. In an industrial park in Spain, this dynamic load balancing technology has successfully reduced electricity costs by 18%. “We are creating a ‘charging pile as a service’ business model,” said Zufu Xu, CTO of the company, at an online product launch. This innovative model has attracted the attention of many smart city projects in Southeast Asia. A representative of a Malaysian state government said directly in the live broadcast room, “This is exactly the solution we need for upgrading our new energy infrastructure.”
Digital breakthrough: restructuring the B2B trade chain
Pheilix chose Alibaba International as its main battlefield because it sees the disruptive effect of digital trade. Using VR showroom technology, overseas buyers can view the internal structure of the charging pile in real time; with the help of RTS (ready to ship) services, small and medium-sized customers can flexibly purchase from 20 units for the first time. More importantly, the credit data accumulated on the platform has allowed this young company to quickly gain international recognition. Its products have currently passed 48 certifications such as the EU CE and US UL. In the past, the qualification review, which used to take six months, is now shortened to 45 days through the platform endorsement,” Jackson Wang, Director of International Business, revealed.
Under the dome of the exhibition hall in Dubai, UAE, Pheilix’s smart charging station sand table attracted the attention of global merchants. Founded in 2021, this Chinese brand is quietly changing the competitive landscape of the global charging pile market with the OCPP protocol as the fulcrum and the leverage of digital trade. When asked about future plans, CEO Huade Wang’s answer is meaningful: “What we want to do is not sell equipment, but become a connector for the global energy transition.” At this moment, the order data that keeps jumping in the background of Alibaba International seems to be confirming the feasibility of this vision.
